Hey folks,

My friend Thom shared this:
“For those of you who don’t have a U2F 2FA token Yubikey have a $5 promotion later today for everyone with a github account.

Possibly relevant to your interests. :3

Arclight
That's a good deal. Yubico is also very hacker-friendly. They sent an engineer down to 23b to speak at Sparklecon last year and give out Yubikeys.

From Yubico's website, it looks like it's possible to potentially use
it to do secure element secret keeping (which might make it nice for
PGP keyring unlock, etc) but it still looks like it's worth spending
the money on a Yubikey Neo: more support, NFC tokenization -- all these
things are only on the Neo.

Re: [hackerspaces] Fwd: [Noisebridge-discuss] $5 Yubikeys for GitHub users today

ITechGeek
It depends on the person.

I picked up two U2F keys and a new NEO.  I'm getting the U2F keys to mess around w/ more than actual security.

Yes, U2F is a lot more limited than the NEOs, but to some people it might be worth it.
